Sourdough Croutons

Sourdough is great, but this will work with any kind of bread.  Keeps for a long time.


Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 1½ teaspoons extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1½ cups diced sourdough bread
  • Dash of kosher salt

Directions

Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat; stir in oil. Add bread and cook, stirring often, 5 minutes or until lightly browned on all sides. Sprinkle with salt. Remove from pan; let cool completely.
