Sarah's Applesauce
I don't know who Sarah is, but she came up with a great recipe. I found it on allrecipes.com . It was a lifesaver when we had a tree full of Granny Smiths. It would probably work well with any type of apple.

Ingredients
- 4 apples - peeled, cored and chopped
- ¾ cup water
- ¼ cup white sugar
- lemon juice to taste
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)
Directions
In a saucepan, combine apples, water, sugar, lemon juice and cinnamon. Cover, and cook over medium heat for 15 to 20 minutes, or until apples are soft. Allow to cool, then mash with a fork or potato masher.
