Apple Pork Chops
This takes very little time to prepare. The recipe calls for this to bake for about an hour, but if you use a meat thermometer, you can tell as soon as it's done. The National Pork Board (yes, they really exist) recommends 145 degrees for medium rare and 160 for medium, followed by a 3-minute rest (the pork, not you). I find that 145 degrees is fine.

Ingredients
- 4 lean boneless pork chops
- 1 medium onion
- 1 teaspoon ketchup
- 1 medium apple
- 1 tablespoon unpacked brown sugar
Directions
In a large skillet with small amount of oil, brown pork chops. In separate skillet, lightly brown onion, add ketchup when onion is brown. Place pork chops into casserole dish. Layer onion slices and apples (cored, peeled and sliced) on top of the pork chops, sprinkle brown sugar over top. Cover and bake in preheated oven at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
Fantastic pork recipe; meat was tender and the dish was so simple to fix. It is a definite family pleaser and will be added to our favorites.
